Audio Blog Scene 2
So because I haven't finished the animation for all of the scene's, I have given commentary on why I've made certain decisions for shots so far and as well as what's inspired them a little plan for the future.
Thankfully due to the nature of this module, both Cassie and Sam have offered to help get the project finished for the end of year show so with the support of others I have no concern that it won't not get finished as they wouldn't let me show an animatic!
Here's is my audio track for Scene 2.

Work in Progress
An updated version of the animatic with a few shots so far.
Premiere File:
Feedback:
Follow up on changing the background on the horse walking, add more background sounds, source music. finish storyboard panels in scene 4 so even if it doesn't get animated for submission someone else could finish it if they were given this project. Add End Credits.
Works a lot better with the background sounds in scene one and two just need more!!
Caris (Best Friend, obviously bias and only going to say nice things):
That looks awesome! I really like it. I think the colours for the sky look really nice and the story is cool too smile emoticon think it will be a masterpiece when it's done lovey xxx

From these comments, I've cut the length of the pan sequence of the graveyard, and added fades to the black parts of the film. She's a bit of a brutal honesty kind of person. I just need to keep plodding on with it.

Hello peach, sorry been working like crazy. It's looking bloody great! Well done! One thing I would say is, can you make the clops of the horses hooves in time with them the horses foot hits the floor in the animation? Can you slow the sound clip down so it matches?
It works so much better slowed down so I've done this too!
Sam's Comments (Classmate and Friend - Slight Bias, but always tells the truth):

Right. I think the credits are good but the cowboy kids part is too long, unless your name is added there.
I'm assuming the black outs are change of scenes?
Apart from that I can't really say anything because it's not finished. What is animated, coloured and has sound behind is good but I can't give much feedback to something that is half done.
The story is good and the lines are funny
Yeah I might fade them
It just needs work
To get it finished
If you do it how you've done the rest I have no doubt it will be good

Okay so I really love the horse feet like it looks really and lovely colours! Think the sounds really make it work they sounds really good. The voice over is really good too with cool accents!
Ooh and the saloon background is great
HeadSpace Cowboy Animations
I've included these that I've just come across because they look like they are done in after effects and it's a different style of an animation and has a cowboy in. I think it's cute, really simple. A part of me likes it, it has a really corporate style. Which is nice, and I'd like to justify why I didn't do my animation like this, because I could have and I could have probably had it finished by now if I'd of done it this way. For me this project represents the last time I'm going to have time to have creative freedom on a big project, and when I graduate I"m either going to go into assisting productions/being a producer and so I won't have this amount of time again so I wanted to make the most of it doing my long winded painterly style, because I know I won't get to again. This meant sacrificing the quantity of the entire film for a small chunk for submission. But I remain confident that now I've got a good start on the project that I can finish it for the end of year show. Although I like this style of animation done in these video's I just don't feel like it's personal enough because there's no auteur signature stamp on it, any corporate studio could have made it.

STORYBOARD-BOARDS
I had a Job Interview in London and one of the job requirements was Storyboarding so in order to present my Storyboard I put them into nice boards that match the font of my CV and Covering letter, because they hadn't asked for a showreel or examples of boards etc they were really impressed with my preparation and extra impressed with the high level of detail of the storyboards, so I'm really grateful that I spent so long working on these rather than rushing production, because I think it might have swung me a second interview, I find out the 6th of May so submission day is either going to go really well or please don't talk to me! Ha!
NB: Limitations of this font are that it probably wouldn't print out well as you can see the res has been reduced to go online and it's not very legible but on my macbook screen it was perfect and looked super neat so I am aware of this.
